Hello, I'm MindyMindy - would you believe this poor little girl was left on her neighbors doorstep? Mindy's owner kept her outside 90% of her life. When it came time to move he did the unthinkable, he abandoned her on a neighbors doorstep. Luckily for Mindy this neighbor is a saint and decided that Mindy deserved more! Mindy is approx 2 years old and about 80 lbs. She is now up to date on her shots and spayed. She is housebroken and very playful, but she must be an ONLY DOG and NO CATS!

- Update -
Mindy has been adopted by her Foster Daddy George. After living with her for a while he realized how wonderful she was and that he couldn't give her up .... a perfect pair! Congratulations George and Mindy!

Hello, I'm BabeBabe - left the Pennsylvania SPCA with Nugget. 2 of many rottweilers there... but 2 that needed a second chance. Babe is about 3 years old, she was a mother not to long ago... but don't ask where her puppies are. She was picked up as a stray.... when her owner went on vacation and left her tied outside with no one to care for her. She nows lives in Loving Hearts foster care with a recent adoptee..... Toby, a very large high energy male! She also lives with a cat. Babe is mellow and very affection, she just wants a family to call her own. She is very thin and will need some weight but eats well. She has bald spots on her rear from sitting outside to long! Well not any more. She is a beautiful rottweiler and has the strut of a champion. Please won't you think about adding her to your family... what's another mouth to feed??

- Update -
Baby Doll as she is now called was adopted by her foster mother, Dee Landis and new rottie brother, Toby who was recently adopted through LHRRR. The two bonded the minute they met... it was love at first sight for all! Best wishes and thank you!

Hello, I'm ToriTori - is now in Loving Hearts foster care. The volunteers at the shelter tried so hard to make it a warm loving place for her but she needed much more. Tori is a 6 year old girl who was given up by her owner, who was being evicted. She has not been well-fed and is extremely underweight. Currently she is on Lamb and Rice Puppy food with vitamin supplements. She needs to gain some weight. Tori is current on shots, housebroken and spayed, according to previous owners. She is good with kids and lived with a male dog. Now in foster care it is more clear that Tori is a wonderful dog ... that wasn't treated right. If you raise your voice she hits the floor juat waiting to get hit. She is very affectionate ... wiggles all the time. She knows sit and down and can even give paw. She listens very well. When it's bedtime that's all you have to tell her ... lay down Tori it's bedtime and she's out for the night. All you'll hear is a little snoring :-) Currently she lives with 5 cats and 3 other dogs. She is a little jealous of your attention as she can't believe she is finally getting some! She would be best in a home with no other dogs or a home where the other dogs are quiet like she is. Mine are alittle much for her. Today she had a bath...jumped right in the tub, she now looks and smells like a million bucks! She has no aggression towards people at all. I can take bones from her, play with her feet and ears. Please do not let her age scare you ... she is full of energy when you want her to be, chases the jolly ball and tugs on her leash to play. There is nothing better than an adult Rottweiler to share your life with. Please give Tori a chance and come meet her today!

Tori has been adopted by Brigitte Hix of Trevose, PA. She now lives with her new sister Kane and cats, Foo, Sage and April! She is already feeling at home sleeping in bed. Thank you for giving Tori a second chance.. now she won't just be giving love, she'll be receiving it as well! Best wishes to the whole crew!

Hello, I'm KellyKelly - is almost 6 months old. She has had a very rough life so far and needs lots of love, understanding, patience and continued obedience training for socialization purposes. She has been left outside with no human contact and was barely fed. Kelly is in a foster home with 3 other dogs, but so far has been extremely selective of other dogs she has come in contact with. We believe she is being protective of herself; anything that seems a little threatening to her makes her feel as though she needs to defend herself. She is cautious of people when she first meets them and takes a while to warm up. Kelly is a very sweet, loving, eager to please puppy who needs a knowledgeable rottweiler owner. In her foster home she is learning sit, down, stay and come. Since Kelly has had such a troubled past and will need special attention and training, she will only be adopted to someone with past rottweiler experience who has worked with a rottie in need before. Proof of past experience and TRAINING/SOCIALIZATION of a rottie in need will be REQUIRED (from veterinarian and trainer/behaviorist).

Hello, I'm TimberlyndTimberlynd - Do I have a story to tell you! I am a 2 year old female rottie that is on the smaller side. My story is almost unbelievable...I was surrendered to a shelter in Williamsport PA with my male partner. What is unbelievable is that I was pregnant! Shelters do not like Rottweilers so the father of my babies was killed. They tried to provoke me to bite or react and I refused too! Little did I know that they were planning to put my pups to sleep at birth. Luckily through the amazing network of rescue organizations I found Loving Hearts. In foster care I delivered 10 beautiful babies that all survived! I am a wonderful mother ..even though I am still a baby myself! Now my pups have homes and it's my turn to shine. The lives I have touched all love me so much...I am truly a wonderful girl. I have lived with 3 other dogs and 5 cats. I love them all! Kids are great too! Please help give me a second chance at life .... I deserve it more than you know:-)

- Update -
Timberlynd has been adopted by Mark and Jeanine Williams. She now lives with her new canine sister Auburn and cat, Cinnamon. She is very happy in her new home playing and sleeping on the sofa! Congratulations!

Hello, I'm NuggetNugget - so she's not a pure rottweiler but she sure does look like one. How could anyone leave this face behind to die at the Pennsylvania SPCA! Certainly not us. She is a NUGGET size rottweiler! Have you ever thought about adopting a Rottweiler but thought wow they get to big??? Not Nugget she is full grown and looks like a 6 month old rottie puppy and will ........ forever. From the looks of it Nugget has not had a pleasant life to date, she came in as a stray....She is young probably around 1 1/2 and she acts like a puppy grabbing your socks and taking off with them. She is timid... but very affectionate. Having 3 large dogs I have never had a real lap dog.... I love it! Currently Nugget is living with 3 big dogs and 5 cats. She is good with all... female and male. We are crate training as she needs so refresher skills on potty training. I feel that someone was very rough with her b/c she always needs my ok to proceed with something. She has had her shots and is probably spayed, but will be going to our vet for a more detailed checkup. She is a must meet...... Nugget is the perfect size for any family especially with children! She has the rottie lean but not the rottie weight!

- Update -
Nugget has been adopted by Bob and Denise Distel of Willow Grove. Newly married, she is truly their first baby and enjoys every second of it! I can't tell if she's a Mama's girl or Daddy's girl? Thank you Bob and Denise for giving Nugget a second chance, and thank you for loving our baby!

Hello, I'm ShelbyShelby - is 3 years old and weighs 105 lbs. Shelby lives with a wonderful man who did not ask for the responsibility of owning a dog. His son asked him to watch her and never came back. Shelby is housebroken and up to date on shots. Being alone 22 hours of the day is not living .. her owner knows she deserves more!! She has lived with cats and seems very playful when she sees another dog. Shelby does require special eye surgery but is very healthy and her vet raves about her personality! Shelby needs attention and a forever family.

Hello, I'm SammySammy - is 9 months old. He is 71 lbs, he is neutered and UTD on shots, crate trained and 99% housebroken. He is a dobie/lab mix who loves to play ball, get his ears scratched and belly rubbed, chew on rawhides and play with his brothers and sisters (the furry kind). Sammy is a very submissive, low to medium energy little boy. He knows some basic obedience such as sit, stay, lay down, come and off. Sammy needs a very confident owner to keep boosting his confidence and reassuring him that he's doing well and all is OK. Sammy enjoys living with and playing with other dogs, both male and female. However, he does not like to share his food and will get snappy at them if they come around him when he is eating or if he's is around people when they are eating.
