Loving Touch Inc. - Tributes
(to those we saved that have passed on & to those we couldn't save)
These are the tributes to the memories of pets that we were able to find new homes for and also those that weren't so fortunate. All of them are special and we loved them all. Please take a moment and join us in honoring their memories, and give your own furkids an extra hug today.
Posted with great saddness 7/29/2002 - It saddens us to say that this very sweet young cat is no longer with us. Scraggles was under the care of one of our vets and received special care but she was just too weak to pull through. Her body was so fragile and the toxins eventually took over causing her to seizure and shutting down her organs. Even though she was weak she was alert enough to know that she was in good hands until her life ended. As our vet said "She appreciated every minute of attention that she received". If it were not for a fellow rescuer, Barbara, Scraggles would have died all alone on the street.

It is cats like Scraggles that we NEED to be there for. Please help us to help more animals in need of emergency care! Please support our rescue efforts!

This is a very sad day and a very sad commentary on some people's actions of not caring about one of God's beautiful living creatures. Scraggles was put in her situation by some uncaring human, and I hope God can forgive them, because I can't ...   Webmaster, Belinda Sauro

Henry 2002 - We always had a soft spot for Henry since the day he was found tied to a fence but we were not in a position to take him into our home. Henry spend months in a boarding facility, and was then boarded in a home setting. When our very first rescued dog (Lucky) passed away we knew we could safely bring another male dog into our home. Henry came to live with us and officially became part of the Eiseman family in April 2002. Our rescued female dogs liked him right from the start. Henry adjusted very quickly to his new home and we believe he finally felt wanted and loved. Although he was being boarded in a wonderful home setting for over a year it just wasn't the same as "being adopted". Henry gave us such joy from the moment he stepped into our home. He showered us with kisses and slept with us every night. It seemed that he had a permanent smile on his face.He really enjoyed the time he spent in our home. In September, however, Henry became very ill. After a medical exam, blood work-up and an ultrasound examination we learned that Henry was a very sick dog. We did our best to make Henry comfortable and he was a very good patient until he became very weak. The night before Henry died he slept in our bed as usual and the following morning he quietly left us. Henry was a very special dog who will never be forgotten. We are glad we could be there for this wonderful SENIOR dog.!

BoUpdate (3/2003) - After one month of special care and attention Bo's life ended, peacefully. Thanks to our wonderful vet, Dr. Perkins, Bo was given the best care any injured cat could ask for. This sweet stray cat was held and pampered every day and he was most grateful for all the attention he was getting. Unfortunately he went downhill when the leukemia took over his body. Bo is now at peace. We are grateful that Bo did not die alone on the street.

Bo is a beautiful, sweet and affectionate male red tabby. He has a wonderful personality and an enormous appetite! Bo was one of 2 cats that appeared outside a doctor's office in Queens (The second cat who is black is still living on the street). The office workers began to feed the cats and befriended them. One day Bo was injured (probably hit by a car) and lost the use of his back legs. Although he was friendly he was very frightened to be caught and spent an entire night inside a deep window well. The following day a kind worker was able to pull him out. Bo is now recuparating at a vet's office. He was found to be positive for feline aids and possibly leukemia (we will run another test soon). He has a break in his lower back. He is now on medication and also on a catheter. He is getting lots of rest, being massaged every day and eating up a storm. Each day seems to be a little easier for him to move his legs although he still can't walk. We are hoping that lots of rest and TLC will make him well again. This cat is so sweet and deserves to live a full live with a special animal lover who can be there for him. In return you will be rewarded by a very loving cat.
