 KC  Walking home from work Friday August 27th 1999, I chanced upon this kitten playing all by himself beside a busy street. There wasn't anyone around and when 2 men walked up to the apartment on that street I asked them if they knew who the kitten might belong to, they said no. I stood there and the kitten started heading for the road so I got in the road and chased him back to the sidewalk, he climbed straight up a tree. Well I thought this is great now I've done it! Well there was no way I was going anywhere without this guy so I went to the liquor store next to the apartment and asked if they had a ladder I could borrow, explaining what had happened. I found it amazing that no one thought there was anything wrong with a kitten this young playing unsupervised beside this road and according to the guys working in the store he'd been there quite some time. They got me the ladder and some nice man walking down the street offered to climb up and get him for me. And so begins the new and safe life of KC (for kitty cat), Mike has wanted to name every cat we have this so I finally thought .. why not it seemed to fit. KC is approximately 3 to 4 months old he has tested FeLV-, he's had his first round of shots and will go in for his second shortly. In a few months he will be neutered. He fit in right away, none of the other cats had too much of a problem with him, probably because he is quite mellow for a kitten ... although he has livened up quite a bit since he first arrived! He's very loving for a kitten and true to every siamese mix I've had he likes to give baths, now between him and Joey I get woke up several times a night getting a face wash!! Oh well what'cha gonna do?! I'm very glad the higher powers, decided to keep a safe eye on KC til I walked by to find him, he's a real joy and how anyone could abandon such a little sweety I'll never be able to understand ... people PLEASE get your animals SPAYED & NEUTERED ... this story happens all too often and most times without a very good out come.
