- Happy Endings -
 | Lucy - seems like loving gal who enjoys being with people. She rolled right over for a belly rub, and was happy to be loved by everyone who walked in the front door. She is mellow in her cage - just rests up for her next walk. She is 6 years old, spayed, housebroken and UTD on shots. Lucy is ready for a loving new home. - ADOPTED - |
 | Rocky - is approximately 6 months old. He was rescued from an SPCA with burn wounds on his head and a sinus infection. Named Rocky b/c he was extremely beat up he is now on antibiotics and looking very happy and healthy, thanks to his foster parents. Rocky is a "kisser" and loves people. His foster parents have him in a home with two small children and he is fantastic with the kids. He did very well with basic training, has an excellent temperment, is potty trained, and crate trained. Rocky also did a great job of fitting in with the other Rotty's at his Foster home. He will be a very loving and loyal companion for some lucky parents.
- Update - It's official ... after a weeks vacation at the beach Rocky has been adopted by the Reifsnyders of Eagleville. Rocky now has 2 rottweiler playmates, Cocco and Jax as well as his human siblings, Taylor and Megan! Congratulations and thank you for giving Rocky a second chance at a wonderful "rotten" life! We know
he'll grow big and strong! - ADOPTED - |
 | Rudy - just turned 3 years old in May. He has been neutered since he was a pup. He has had holistic treatment for vaccines but will be up to date on shots and on HW preventative soon. He has lived with several rescued dogs and cats. His most recent room mate was a toy rat terrier girl who would hang off his face. He has been very socialized with other animals however living with another male dogs is out. He would do better in a home alone or with female dogs and cats. He is mellow and very smart, knows many commands. Rudy had TPOL surgery to repair a torn ACL when he was a year and a half old so he needs to stay slim. He is a smaller male rottie about 80-85 lbs. He enjoys playing and swimming but will get sore and tired due to his leg so free play should be monitored. He loves toys and bones .. especially his glow ball which will come with him to his new home. He is on natural foods and should probably stay this way. Rudy has been loved but due to unfortunate circumstances could not stay in his home.
- Update - Rudy has been adopted by his foster family ... he now has 2 yellow lab sisters, Abby and Emmy and 5 cats! Rudy and his new family look forward to many happy years of ball chasing! A special thank you to his foster family and congratulations! - ADOPTED - |
 | Marley - Marley girl was rescued from Burlington County Animal Control on her very last day before being PTS. Wow, are we lucky we found her! Marley is about 7 months old, 56 lbs and a beautiful little girl. We do not think she is going to be a big Rottie at all as her feet and head are very petite. She does have her tail which makes her look cuter than ever. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and 5 cats .... cats are fun she says! But just to play with:-) Marley is playful but mellow and content. She will lay a chew a bone, she does not seem destructive. She has not shown one ounce of sass or aggression at all and will I'm sure adore children. She is a cuddle bug! We haven't heard her bark yet so that isn't a issue either. Marley is mostly housebroken, but gets distracted playing with the other dogs so you have to stay on top of her. If you are looking for a sweet affectionate LITTLE girl Marley is for you!
- Update - Marley has been adopted by Carol and Steve Lieblein of Havertown PA. Marley now has a big, black lab brother named Bear and 2 kitties to share her life with! Thank you to being patient with "foster" mom ... we love Marley very much! Best wishes and happiness to you always and forever. - ADOPTED - |
 | Jasper - where do we begin about Jasper? First you must read his full story, For the love of Jasper on his story page. He is truly a rescued rottweiler! Since the story was written he has been updated on shots, neutered and has begun his evolution into the perfect house dog...it hasn't been hard. Jasper is about 2 years old and weighs about 110 lbs. He is a solid dog and needs someone that can handle his strength. He is not your average dog he more resembles a TANK! He has lived with several female dogs and cats and loves them all. He hasn't had a problem with other males but we will be very selective about a home that has another male. Probably an older male that is use to other males. Jasper is extremely affectionate and because he deserves to make up for lost time, we require a home that will give him their full attention always. His nickname is "Huggy Bear"! He does know sit and down, he is very attentive and enthusiastic about treats. He is crate trained and house broken. This boy still has some insecurity about some things. He sometimes startles and needs reassurance that it's going to be okay.
- Update - Jasper has been adopted by his foster family and lives with recent rescues Pink and Hope. Thank you Dan and Janet Haas for everything. Much love to all 5 of you! - ADOPTED - |
 | Symone/Shadow - This stray gal seems like a real sweetheart, she is about 4 - 5yrs. old. She is affectionate, calm and mellow - not like some of those crazy pups. She leans on you when you pet her - so be ready for lots of love from this rottie.
UPDATE*** LHRRR volunteers met, and what an easy going love bug she is. A perfect addition to your family. She showed no signs of any aggression what so ever .. she just wants to be loved. We were hooked!
- Update - Shadow (formerly Symone) has been adopted by 'The Snyder Family of Perkasie'. She now has a home and family of her own and has become quite a character! Congratulations and thank you for giving Shadow the home she deserves! - ADOPTED - |
 | Paddy - was found by law enforcement running in the Southern end of Lancaster County. The veternarian's best guess says that he is between 1.5-3 years old. A strange tattoo on his abdomen might indicate past use as a breeding dog. Although large in frame, Paddy weighed about 65 lbs when we brought him home on St. Patrick's Day. He now weighs about 90 lbs. Paddy was neutered this week and has all of his shots. He is negative for heartworm and on preventive. He has been wormed. Paddy is a lovable dog. Friendly, outgoing, and gets along well with other animals and children. He rides well in the car and is crate trained. Paddy appears to have had some training (he sits easily on command), but was not housebroken. He has improved greatly in the housebreaking department since we adopted him. He has never growled, lets you handle his mouth and paws with ease. He does not seem to be territorial. He is ravenously hungry all of the time, but will let you take away his food dish - without any negative behavior. He will use his mouth in play (we are trying to break him of this habit). He is learning to walk well on the leash, but definitely needs a little more training. His only quirk other than the vacuum, which he barks at, seems to be intercoms at drive-thru windows. He howled at the local McDonald's. Recent x-rays have shown hip displysia in Paddy's left hip. He shows no signs of trouble now, but the vet has advised us to keep his weight under 100 lbs.
- Update - Paddy has been adopted by the Kersetter Family of Willow Grove. He now has a family with children to call his own! Congratulations to all and thank you to Corinne and Scott for saving his life! Many years of happiness to a wonderful family and special dog! - ADOPTED - |
 | Paulie Walnuts - was wandering the streets of Manyunk and was taken in by a kind couple! He lives with 2 other dogs and seems to be a wonderful boy. All attempts have been made to locate his owner but like many dogs no one is looking for them! He will be going to the vet shortly for a good checkup and we will have more information soon! Unfortuanely his rescuers can not keep him as they live in an apartment and already have the other dogs.
- Update - Paulie was adopted by Karen Wolfe and Chris Cianitto of Philadelphia. He now has a new sister named Nina who already loves him! Thank you so much for giving Paulie a second chance! - ADOPTED - |
 | Brutus - Hello Good Looking .... you haven't seen handsome until you have seen our Brutus. Pulled from the PSPCA as a stray Brutus is appx. 3-4 yrs old. He will be neutered Monday and is up to date on shots! He is a big, slobbery mellow man who will probably be happy where ever he can be fed and loved. He like many other males barely has a pulse, not much gets him fired up, he just leans on you for alittle ... okay alot of attention! He is underweight and will need just a little help getting into tip top shape. As you can see in his picture his little ears have been chewed up by something, that will all heal in time! He seems to be very easy going and has no problem with other dogs. We will be updating his information shortly when we get to know this lover a little better.
- Update - Brutus has been adopted by Mark and Joanne Elliot of Mt. Holly, NJ. He now lives with two lovely ladies
named Maggie and Amber pictured here --> click for photo. Amber is defiantly the boss and Brutus doesn't mind one bit! Hope you bought stock in paper towels, best wishes to our slobbery man and his new family! Thank you for giving Brutus the life he deserved! - ADOPTED - |
