 | Nick is a 7 year old neutered male who was turned into the rescue because after many years with his family someone was allergic to him. Nick is housebroken, great with kids, cats and other dogs. He walks nice on a leash and loves car rides. Nick knows basic obedience, sit, lay down, give paw. He also likes to play with the laser pointer or flashlight.
- Update - Nick was adopted ... he will be living with 2 female Dobermans and a male German Shepherd mix in New York state. He will have a huge yard to play in and his very own doggie door that will lead to the
"dogs room". Here he is at his new home and two of his new housemates (Amanda & Ricky). - ADOPTED - |
 | Deja has been adopted by her Foster Parents, Elaine and Tony. Her younger brother Max couldn't be more happy. They decided they just couldn't part with such a sweet girl. We are happy for all of them! - ADOPTED - |
Allies brother Max found with her was put down Friday (8/18/00), he was a beautiful, healthy loving boy. This is why it is so IMPORTANT to spay and neuter your pets and PLEASE take pet ownership seriously - PETS are for LIFE - NOT convienence. | Allie and Max found themselves on the back porch of a couples house - underweight, starved and thirsty. Lucky for them they found such nice people to take them in. Unfortunately the couple couldn't keep them because of their dog but agreed to foster them until they could find a loving home. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and heartworm negative. The vet saids we're about 1 1/2 to 2 years of age. They tried to find our owners but nobody came for us. They were so cruel just to dump us off and don't deserve to have such wonderful dogs like us!
- Update - Allie has been adopted by the couple that was fostering them - Yaaaaaaaa!! - ADOPTED - |
 | HEY Everybody ... look at me! Bet you never saw anything like me? OK, so I'm a little stuck up but, just look at me! I was taken out of a shelter. If I wasn't taken out when I was I wouldn't be here right now. The shelter was closing and I had nowhere to go, everybody looked at me but, nobody wanted me, in a few hours I would have been dead. This nice lady saved me - took me to the Vets, got all of my shots and got me neutered. I am looking for a "forever home" I am tired of being in shelter after shelter. Their floors are too cold and hard.
- Update - My foster family has decided to adopt me ... Yaaaaaaaa!! - ADOPTED - |
 | Sasha a young female German Shepherd was brought to the shelter in desperation by her owners. She has skin allergies and they said they have had her to the vet and tried everything to relieve her suffering but they believed the best thing to do would be to euthanize her. We couldn't do it. Sasha is a young (about 2 years old) spayed female German Shepard from Jack's Dog Farm. She is sweet tempered, housebroken, was raised with another dog, cats & birds. She deserves a chance. We are trying some medication and an allergy-free dog food and will gladly accept $$ donations for her care, or better yet, an adoptive home willing to save her.
- Update - Sasha has been adopted ... Thank - you LHRRR for you help! - ADOPTED - |
Shadow - No Photo - |
Shadow is a one year old male, he is neutered and up to date on all shots. Shadow is a ball of energy, he loves to play with toys and anything else he can find, he can make a toy out of the simplest things. Shadow has learned some basic commands while he has been in foster care in Allentown, Pa. Shadow would love a home with a young adult who wants a dog who will be his best friend and companion. He walks well on a leash, and is super friendly to humans and other animals. Shadow is crate trained and loves to spend time in his run with his toys and bones. He is very easy to care for. Shadow has great potential as an obedience dog, or agility.
- Update - Shadow was adopted and is having a great time with his new sister, Sasha. Dreams can become realities! - ADOPTED - |
 | Bailey has been in his new home for 2 months now, and loves his new four legged friends, Rowdie (lost her battle with cancer recently) and Sinbad. He also lives with 3 little 2-legged sisters, and loves playing with them. He says his parents are wonderful people, too. He's now going up and down steps, something he was adamant about not doing before. * Rowdie will be deeply missed. - ADOPTED - |
 | Hi! My name is Tyson. I am a 5 year old, 140 lb., tall, dark and handsome male. I am just a big lovable teddy bear! I enjoy going for rides in the convertible, walks and just laying down getting my chest scratched. Alot of people don't want to adopt me because of my age. But everyone forgets that my age can be an advantage as well. I am very calm and can relax with the best of them. I might be 5 but I can run around like a young pup in the yard. I would like a new warm loving family who will give me the hugs, kisses, scratches and the backyard I long to play in. All the things that I miss.
- Update - Tyson was adopted by a wonderful couple in DE. He swims in the pond almost every day with his new brother Nugget. We are very happy for Tyson and his new family! - ADOPTED - |
 | Gracie is a 10 month old, 87 lb. female, who was turned in to rescue because her parents lived in the city and didn't have time to take care of her. Gracie is all puppy, therefore she loves to play and loves belly rubs. She will be spayed this week. Gracie needs work on her basic obedience but does sit when told and takes correction well. Gracie is good with most other dogs but alittle rambunctious and chases cats. We will only adopt her out to a home with children 10 or over due to her size and huge 'puppy attitude' (she is pretty tall). She also loves shadow and bug chasing!
- Update - Gracie was adopted (8/12/00) and is having a great time with her new family. Yaaaaaaa, another happy ending! - ADOPTED - |
Yuengling - No Photo - | Yuengling is a beautiful 5 year old female who gets along with other dogs and cats. Yuengling has been around children ages 3 and up. She loves to play with empty 2 liter plastic soda bottles, and enjoys playing in the backyard until it's time to go to bed. Yuengling thought she was going to live the rest of her life with her family in the sunny south, but at the last minute they found out they couldn't have a dog over 35 lbs. so Yuengling decided to stay here and enjoy the change of seasons.
- Update - Yuengling was taken to the Ruth Steinert SPCA and was adopted the same day. - ADOPTED -
