Available Dogs Petey - is a 2 year old black and tan male. He is missing one of his eyes, but that doesn't slow him down at all. More info coming soon after he is finished with his heartworm treatments. Sassie - is a 5 year old red miniature female dachshund. Does fine with other animals and is fine with children. Needing to have her teeth cleaned, which will be done this week. She is heartworm negative and UTD on her shots. Sheldon - is a 8 year old red standard male. Very sweet (good with kids, as you can tell by the picture) and pretty active for an older gentleman! He is house-trained and pretty easy going. Will be neutered and UTD on shots. Lisa Renea - 6 year old red smooth female. Lisa is loving it at her new foster moms house. She is getting all of the attention that she deserves. She is very well behaved, housetrained, doesn't jump on people or furniture and is one of the friendliest dogs you will find. She is UTD on shots, heartworm negative and spayed. Fritz - was just rescued out of the local animal control facility. He is a 2-3 year old standard male. His nickname is "Big Mac" because he is soo BIG. He dwarfs his foster sister and brothers. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatments and will be available for adoption Late March. He is a little food aggressive, but with some time that will be overcome. He is great with children, fine with other dogs and just a very handsome boy. Gazelle - 1 1/2 years old, very sweet and playful with people and other dogs. Acts very young and silly and is submissive. Wants lots of attention. Very quiet and crated trained immediately. Seems to be potty trained (despite what person who found her told me), mildly heartworm positive so planning to treat with Heartgard. Will be spayed next week. Slash - is a 5 year old neutered male, he can use the doggie door, seems to be the dominant dog in the house but likes other dogs, unpredictable with kids ("runs hot and cold" according to foster) very sweet and happy-go-lucky! Buddy - is a 4 year old black and tan dapple neutered male. Buddy has beautiful markings, his dapple is very very pretty and he knows it. He is such a stud!! He loves to play outside and would love a home with a fenced backyard to run in. Buddy is having a hard time getting use to the foster dogs in his foster home, as he has always been the only dog in the family. So, he needs to go to a one dog family. Trevor - is a red male, that is about 5-6 years old. He is currently under-going heartworm treatment, but will be ready for adoption by Feb. 20th. He is very sweet and shy. Trevor likes to give kisses and likes to examine his foster sisters mouth to see what she has been eating! He is on a diet and has creaky knees because of his weight problem. Likes other dogs but needs lots of human attention. Blazer - is a 10 month old black and tan neutered male. What a love he is. He is so sweet and cuddly. He gets along well with children, other dogs and cats. He loves to play with his foster sister - a Dalmatian, so big dogs are not a problem. But his favorite past time is sitting in his foster moms lap. He is working on housetraining, as he lived his entire life outside before coming to HDR. Snapple - is a wonderful tri-colored mini dapple dachshund. She is just a baby at 1 years old. Needs to be with another dog, loves to play. Needs to be without kids. She is working on her housetraining at her foster moms house. Maggie & Heidi (Mom and Daughter) Maggie - is the mother of Heidi, they need to be adopted together. Maggie is 5 year old Pale red mini dachshund. She too is on a diet, as her former owner feed her only soft food and table scraps. She is very sweet, and very very quite, housetrained, gets along well with other dogs and is very outgoing. Is just looking for a home to love her and her baby. Her foster mom says she is just as sweet as can be. Heidi - is a 3 year old red mini female. She is working on loosing some weight - she was feed a diet of soft food and table scraps at her former house, and is now getting use to premium dog food. Her former owner is very sick and could no longer take care of her.
