About UsLoving Touch is a community rescue group. We are a group of people making a better way of life for many lost, abandoned and stray animals. Our organization is staffed totally by volunteers. Our knowledge in rescue and animal care is derived from a combined total of 33 years of experience in our field. |
What We DoLoving Touch is dedicated to educating people in all aspects of pet care and animal responsibility. We stress the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets. Animals who are not spayed or neutered and are abandoned, account for millions of homeless animals each year. When able, we will take in stray/abandoned animals. Once rescued, each animal is Vet checked, tested, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. When it is not possible for us to physically assume the care of an animal, we refer to other appropriate organizations. Loving Touch volunteers are out in the community everyday, feeding strays and always alert to those animals in need of medical care. Our volunteers also work with our animals in boarding facilities. They walk them, play and care for them. This is essential for any companion animals health and well being. |
Where are the Animals We Rescue?Because we do not have a shelter, the animals we find must be boarded until ready for adoption. Boarding for each animal is $10.00 a day. We are responsible for $3650.00 per year for each and every space we hold in a boarding facility. Loving Touch relies on the generosity of people such as you to help defray these high boarding costs through regular donations and sponsorship of our animals. Our Foster Care program allows our supporters to take one of our animals into their home to care for as well as evaluate their behavior. This personal attention enhances our ability to place each of our animals in the adoptive home that is most suitable for both the pet and the new owner. |
FundingWe are a non profit organization pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service. As such we are totally dependent on donations and proceeds from fund raising events & Online Store (we receive a portion of the proceeds when you buy an item from our store), a great place to buy a unique, custom made gift for that hard-to-shop-for person! All donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law. Our struggle to provide a better quality of life for all animals is supported by volunteers, foster homes and contributions from caring individuals. Without that support, we would be unable to help the animals that are waiting for A LOVING TOUCH. |
Our Future GoalsOur long-term goal is to have shelter of our own. A shelter would enable us to help many more animals than is currently possible. In the meantime, we take great pride and satisfaction in helping one animal at a time. There are far too many animals wandering lost, and abandoned in our neighborhoods that are in immediate need of help. When we make a difference in the life of an animal we contribute to our community as well. |
In ClosingWe appreciate your interest in our efforts and hope that you might find it in your heart to help in any way you can - no effort to save a life is too small. Thank You for caring :) |
