We desperately need FOSTER HOMES for cats. THERE ARE MANY SITUATIONS THAT WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO HELP WITH, HOWEVER, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE EVERY CAT IN. CAN YOU HELP? This was Cinder before he was taken off the street and adopted. Cinder was a Flushing Cat that found his way into the parking garage. He was friendly and did everything possible to get attention. He rolled on the ground in front of people and then followed them to their car. As soon as we saw this we knew that Cinder needed to be removed before he was hurt. Cinder was lucky to find a home. Shortly after he was adopted his dad found another black cat outside his apt. Soon after that two more stray black cats joined the family. All four cats are males, two are 5-6 year old and two are a little younger. All four cats are friendly to people but a bit shy at first. They get along with dogs and cats as well.
We just received a call asking for help with finding new homes for these cats. Their owner is in a terrible financial situation and has been asked to remove the cats from his apt. We would like to help find new homes for these cats and do not want to see them go to the city shelter.

This group of cats are beautiful. They are all living together as a family. They made it through the bitter cold winter with the help of a kind lady who offered them shelter and food. Although these cats have never been touched they appear to be friendly and willing to be worked with. If you would like more information on one of these cats please email us.  This cat Rikki's mother was killed by a group of dogs behind a group home in Queens. A rescuer took Rikki home in hopes of giving her a wonderful home. However the resident cats have decided to gang up on Rikki although Rikki is very friendly and sweet. Rikki's rescuer feels that the best thing to do would be to find a home where she could be safe. Rikki loves attention and all she wants to do is be loved. Rikki spends most of her time hiding under the bed and will only come out when she knows that the 2 resident cats are sleeping... she'll come out for rubs and kisses and runs back under the bed as soon as one of the other cats wakes up... it's a very sad thing to see.  Our family is moving on Nov. 29th and we need to find new homes before then or we will be put to sleep. We are all house cats and have always lived with children. We are gentle and loving and deserve to live our lives out. Momma because she was recently rescued after giving birth to a litter of kittens. Momma cat is now in a foster home where they have been working with her. She is a little skittish but likes to be petted and brushed. We're looking for a permament home with someone that is patient, understands her needs and will continue working with her. Scooter is a male, gray tabby and is approx. 11 weeks old. He is a little shy but very affectionate. He runs around like a little rocket which is why we named him Scooter. If you would like to know more about Scooter please email Sid.
Emily is a gray tabby approx. 11 weeks old. Emily was recently rescued along with 2 of her littermates and is in a foster home. She's very smart and affectionate and just a pleasure to have around. Yuri and Beatrice - a senior brother and sister who wish to spend their remaining years together. Their eldlery owner has passed away and her grandson was nice enough to take Beatrice and Yuri into his home until a new home can be found for them. Within the next few weeks his work schedule will change and will require him to travel. A new home must be found quickly. Contact us if you are interested in adopting them. |
Mimi - is a female calico who is 7 years old. Her owner's son adopted her as a baby but now he has a child who has developed respiratory problem and Mimi was given to his Mom. Mimi is a bit aloof and quiet but loves to lay on a secure screened window and take in the sun. The cats owner, who is elderly, has now developed asthma and must find homes for her companions. Yosie - is a female black cat who is 5 years old. Her owner's daughter found her in Florida and took her home so her mom could have compnay. Yosie is sweet and affectionate and loves to eat. | Precious - male, 1 1/2 year old. Precious was rescued as a baby and lived with a family ever since. Now the family is moving and cannot take Precious with them because there is a dog waiting for them in their new home and it does not like cats. Precious is an extremely friendly cat and needs to be in a foster home or new home by the end of this week at the latest or he may end up in a shelter.
