The animal is boarded for as long as it takes to find the right home. This can be weeks, months and even up to a year.

animals that we had no choice but to keep FOREVER LOVED (new window) - many times we come across an animal who is much too scared to be adopted. We work with them to socialize them, however, if they are still to nervous to be adopted and we cannot find a no-kill facility that we approve of to take them they will remain with us forever. This has become quite costly due to the amount of food, litter and medical care.
We also have the 2 projects that we work on.1.) FLUSHING PROJECT - for many years now we have rescued cats from three different areas in Flushing. Many were adoptable and very willing to be taken off the street, however, many were not. We would like to continue our work and help eliminate unwanted litters in this area.
2.) BRONX PROJECT - for many years we have been rescuing both dogs and cats from the Bronx area. There are still many that need our help. Many of the animals are frightened but with time and patience they begin to trust us and we are able to bring them in for medical care and if they are adoptable they will go into boarding.
